Privacy Policy
The short version: this is a personal application operated by one individual to access his own Oura Ring data. It has no other users, collects nothing from anyone else, and shares nothing with anyone.
What this application is
adamsringdata is a private, personal-use application. It is operated by a single individual (the "operator") solely to retrieve and analyze the operator's own health data from the Oura API. It is not a product or service offered to the public, and no one other than the operator is authorized to use it.
What data is accessed
Through the Oura API, and only with the operator's own authorization, the application accesses the operator's own Oura account data, which may include:
- Daily summaries (activity, sleep, readiness, stress, SpO2, resilience)
- Sleep period details, heart rate, and heart rate variability
- Workouts, sessions, and tags
- Basic profile information (such as age, height, and weight)
How data is stored and used
Retrieved data is stored locally on hardware owned and controlled by the operator. It is used exclusively for the operator's personal health analysis. The application does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
What is never done with the data
- It is never sold, rented, or traded.
- It is never shared with third parties.
- It is never used for advertising, profiling, or marketing.
- No data belonging to anyone other than the operator is ever collected.
Data retention and deletion
Data is retained locally at the operator's discretion and can be deleted at any time by the operator. Revoking the application's access from the Oura account settings immediately prevents any further data retrieval.
Third-party services
The application communicates only with the Oura API, operated by Oura Health Oy. Oura's own handling of your account data is governed by Oura's privacy policy. This application is not affiliated with or endorsed by Oura Health Oy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised effective date.
